Dr Kirsten Hardie is Associate Professor at the Arts University Bournemouth, UK. I first met her in 2005 when undertaking a piece of research for the UK's National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (NESTA) and the Higher Education Academy (HEA). My task then was to explore the views of National Teaching Fellows on creativity and its development in higher education. Her responses to my questions intrigued me, especially with regard to the role of the tutor in enabling students to become more creative. We are glad to have her join the journal's International Review Panel.
